Underclassmen yearbook photos looked a little different this year. The last time slot for pictures this school year was yesterday, Monday 12/7, and slots filled up quickly.
The yearbook pictures were set up so all safety guidelines could be met. There was a health screening before entering the photo area, and there were X’s on the floor to mark where to stand, properly ensuring social distancing.
The photos this year were organized by Mrs. Hans, an English teacher at Herndon High School. She is also organizing the yearbook for this school year. I talked with Mrs. Hans about the process of organizing all of the pictures, “I just knew it was going to be more of a challenge” Hans said. In times like these, it's hard to organize something so that it is efficient and that everyone is satisfied. But it’s working, it’s a good and safe process for taking pictures in this environment. For more information on photos and yearbook, contact Mrs. Hans at kdhans@fcps.edu.
The yearbook committee will be putting out more information in the next week or so about how students can take selfies to include in the people section of the yearbook. Because without being in school, it's hard to get photos of people. Stay tuned for more information on that!
The yearbook purchases are now available! You can select from many packages for your order. You can order your yearbook here and enter code 8967.
For seniors, you can go on that same website to purchase a baby advertisement for the yearbook, it would be a great way to end the school year with as many seniors shown as possible!
Everything looks a little different this year, but please order your yearbooks!
