This year has been a unique challenge for all of us. For us here at the Stinger, it’s been especially strange. Our newspaper had only just been revived last school year, and, given we only had about fifteen students in the class, it was a major accomplishment to have done all we did. This year is no different. Most of the staff this year consisted of new faces, but make no mistake, every person on the staff contributed greatly to putting out a paper every other month.
This year, we expanded our advertising outreach and presence in the school community. We rose above several challenges to beat deadlines and improve the quality of our content.
Next year, I believe we can achieve even more. Being on a school newspaper staff is a fantastic experience, that’s definitely worth giving a try if you have any interest in writing. As journalists, we seek to set the precedent for growth, information, entertainment, and depth. We, as a staff, will always strive to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information. I’d like to thank the staff and our teacher, Mrs. Crosson, for such an amazing (if not slightly strange) year, and I look forward to the Stinger’s future.
