Syed Iftikhar. Some of you may know him as the man who was there to guide you through that life changing moment when he handed you that pink slip. He is now in the running for Herndon town council, which will take place this coming fall. Mr. Iftikhar has a wide range of former careers, leading him to be educated in many fields. His most influential career being the building of his Behind-The-Wheel business: Safe Driving Academy.

With his campaign being his primary focus at the moment, Mr. Iftikhar has been able to take a moment and speak about the election with The Stinger. Iftikhar spoke about what he considers to be his number one priority for the town, and his plans to go about it:
“Preserving the essence of historic downtown Herndon, maintaining and expanding the town's environmental initiative which includes parks and green spaces while attracting the right kind of businesses. Those businesses that align with the inclusionary values embodied by the town and building strong fiscal partnerships with the community.”
