Bored in Quarantine? Learn a Language!

By Trinity White

With the closing of schools, restaurants, and public recreational spaces, it has left many individuals stuck at home. However, there is one thing that anyone can take part in, which is learning a new language. Although there is a lot of stigma on learning a language later in life, during secondary or postsecondary school. it is viewed as more difficult and that may be true for some aspects, but not in its entirety. Speaking may be more difficult for people learning a language in their adult years, but learning the grammar rules and vocabulary are considered to be easier. In my opinion, I think knowing the technicalities of a language is more beneficial. With the uprise of this new virus, people have gained more time on their hands, hence learning a new language is a perfect way to spend your time!
