After 7 years, The Croods is coming out with a sequel, The Croods: A New Age. In 2013, the first movie made $587.2 million in the box office, was nominated an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, and a Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film. Bringing back the same characters played by Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, and Nicholas Cage, however there will be a new family included, named the Bettermans.
If you didn’t watch the first Croods movie, the Croods are a cave family who survived a terrain, but with their home destroyed, the Croods set out for an adventure to look for a new home. They come across new people, animals, and surprises.
The sequel starts when the Croods have nowhere to live. They start their search and find a perfect home, but they encounter another family, the Bettermans. The Bettermans are more advanced in their technology, inventions, lifestyle, hence their name. The Bettermans invite the Croods into their space, but they don’t get along and problems increase. As a threat comes into play, both of the families have to learn to work their differences together, leave their comfortable lifestyle, and embark on an adventure. Will the two families find a way to work together or will more issues escalate?
The Croods: A New Age will be in theaters November 25, 2020. The Croods is loved by so many kids, even adults, and everyone is super excited for the sequel, however due to the current circumstances, to watch the movie, you can rent the theater for you and your family at AMC starting at $99.
