This year's Coachella has brought about a great deal of buzz and controversy. The 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, is a music festival which showcases new and popular artists. Some of the music lineup included performances from Harry Styles, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, and Megan Thee Stallion. In addition to the music, Coachella is also notorious for its unique and wild outfits, put together by influencers and festival guests. However, recent looks have brought on some hate from fans for being too “boring” and “lackluster.”
Many think this year's fashion hasn’t been as exciting as in past years. Controversial influencer James Charles has gotten a large amount of hate for his Coachella look. Coachella fans have gone as far as saying his looks were “disgraceful” and “cheap looking.” Fortunately for Charles, his look isn't the only one being criticized. Many other artists and influencers are getting hate for what appears to the public as a lack of effort. With that being said, many walked on stage with remarkable pieces that brought about new inspiration, which is important as we near summer time fashion. With exception to burning weather conditions and dust, the overall Coachella experience is not one to miss with phenomenal artists, music, and fun.
