As you may know, sports this year have looked a lot different. As the winter sports season ends, the new fall sports season begins! Tryouts for fall sports are starting up soon in February!
There are many new safety precautions going into sports this year. Every student athlete must wear a mask during all practices and games. There is also a limited number of people who can be at an event at any given time, and no parents or spectators are allowed at matches. Social distancing is enforced among the players as well, and we are all working together to keep each other safe.
The fall sports include football, volleyball, cross country, field hockey, golf, and cheerleading. If you are interested in any of those sports, attend a tryout session!
Before trying out for your sport, you need to complete a few things first. You need to complete a VHSL Pre-Participation Exam Form, an Emergency Care Card, a concussion education slide show, and lastly, you need to register for your sport. Here are the links to do that below:
Tryout times are specific to each sport and student class, so for more information about dates and times, email the coach for the sport. The fall sports head coaches are listed below:
Football: Dan Coghlan - DHCoghlan@fcps.edu
Volleyball: Jessica Tramontozzi - jlt.vball@gmail.com
Cross Country: Jason Polaha - japolaha@fcps.edu
Field Hockey: Mary Miller - mlmiller5@fcps.edu
Golf: Carol Molesky - camolesky@fcps.edu
Cheerleading: Hannah Moore - hannahelizm@gmail.com
Good luck at tryouts, Hornets!
