We’re almost done with the winter sports season, and our Swim and Dive athletes have been working hard!
The boys and girls have already swam in the regionals swim meet, and some students are going to states! Congratulations to everyone who swam in regionals! The swim season may have been different, but it was fortunate it was still able to happen. There were a lot of best times over the weekend, so keep on improving swimmers!
For our Herndon High School girls, unfortunately no one qualified for states. But some athletes came really close! For example, Georgia Cutrell placed 6th in 100 back, and the 200 medley relay (with Katie Cazenas, Kennedy Leveto, Georgia Cutrell, and Sierra Platt) placed 5th. Good effort girls!
For our Herndon High School boys, some athletes are advancing to states! And not only that, Noah Dyer, took the region champion title in two events, placing first in both 100 free and 200 free. There was also a region champion relay team, for the 400 free relay, (with Noah Dyer, Cooper Hill, Rian Graham, and Will McClough) that placed first. These boys also finished third in their 200 free relay, which advances them to states as well. And lastly, Rian Graham placed 3rd in 100 fly, advancing to states.
Great job Herndon, and good luck at states!
